This Privacy Policy explains how AIscend (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, transmits, stores, and protects personal data when you use aiscend.co.uk, app.aiscend.co.uk, the AIscend mobile app, and related services together referred to as the “Service”. We act as a data controller under UK GDPR.

- Account information: email address, authentication identifiers, subscription status, account settings, and app preferences.
- Scan information: front and side facial photos, uploaded images, scan metadata, timestamps, generated analysis results, facial metric outputs, and related self-improvement insights.
- Chat information: messages you send to the AIscend chat feature and related chat metadata required to provide responses.
- Technical and usage information: device information, IP address, app or browser version, analytics events, crash logs, timestamps, and security logs.
- Support communications: emails, bug reports, feedback, or other messages you send to us.
3. How We Collect Data
- Directly from you when you create an account.
- Directly from you when you upload or capture front and side facial photos for scan analysis.
- Directly from you when you use AIscend chat, contact support, or submit feedback.
- Automatically from your device and app usage for security, debugging, analytics, and service operation.
4. How & Why We Use Personal Data
- Provide, operate, and maintain AIscend.
- Process uploaded front and side facial photos to generate the scan analysis requested by the user.
- Generate informational appearance insights, progress summaries, and self-improvement recommendations.
- Provide AIscend chat responses when you choose to use the chat feature.
- Operate authentication, subscriptions, account management, payment entitlement checks, and app security.
- Improve reliability, performance, fraud prevention, debugging, and user support.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
5. AI Processing, Scan Consent & Data Transmission
AIscend includes optional AI-powered features. Before any facial scan is uploaded or processed, AIscend presents an in-app explanation describing what data will be sent, who it is sent to, and why it is required. Users must provide permission before scan processing begins.
For facial scan analysis, AIscend may transmit your front facial photo, side facial photo, account identifier, subscription status, scan type, timestamps, and scan metadata to AIscend’s own backend infrastructure so that your requested analysis can be generated.
AIscend does not use third-party AI providers to perform facial scan analysis. Scan analysis is handled through AIscend’s own application systems and backend infrastructure.
The AIscend chat feature may use OpenAI’s API to generate chat responses. When you use the chat feature, your chat messages and relevant chat context may be transmitted to OpenAI for the purpose of generating a response. Facial scan photos are not sent to OpenAI for facial scan analysis.
7. Lawful Bases Under UK GDPR
- Contract: to provide the Service you request, including account access, scans, subscriptions, and app features.
- Consent: where we ask for permission before processing or transmitting uploaded facial photos for scan analysis.
- Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, debugging, reliability, service improvement, and support.
- Legal obligation: where processing is required to comply with applicable law.
8. Retention & Deletion
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, provide requested features, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements.
Users can initiate account deletion inside the AIscend app. When an account deletion request is completed, we will delete or anonymise associated personal data where reasonably possible, subject to legal, fraud prevention, security, backup, and technical retention requirements.

12. Automated Processing & Informational Outputs
AIscend’s scan feature uses automated processing to generate appearance-related insights. These outputs are informational, cosmetic, and self-improvement oriented. They are not medical, psychological, legal, employment, financial, or other high-impact decisions.
AIscend analysis may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be treated as professional advice.
13. Children & Age
AIscend is not intended for children under the minimum age permitted by applicable law. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child where parental consent is legally required, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
